Welcome to BUTA VOICE, an independent information site set up by shareholders.

We BUTA shareholders are being asked to vote on the sale of BUTA’s commercially let flats. This is a far-reaching, irreversible decision, yet we have been given limited time and no clear professional advice has been provided to support an informed decision.

Here at BUTA VOICE, we aim to examine the consequences of this decision. We are being asked to vote on the sale of assets worth around £10 million. A Yes vote makes that decision irreversible. A No vote means we can pause, obtain proper professional advice, and once we have all the information, we can make an informed choice.

To begin with, it helps to know why BUTA owns these flats in the first place. What follows is a short history, as told by John Levite to Chris Langdon. John Levite was one of BUTA’s founders and later a long-serving chairman.

We will be adding new information over the coming weeks, so please click here and check back regularly as the site develops.
